Our metabolism gets sluggish with age - with sitting at a desk all day, and from the influence of hormone disruptors like pharmaceuticals and daily dirty water, air, food, cleaners and fragrances.
Add in pregnancy (maybe several), decades of hormonal birth-control, childbirth, and then peri-menopause and menopause...
Toss in years of crash diets or chronic calorie restriction... or the alternative - years of "f$%k it - this is all I've got to give right now"
Add in stressful careers, lack of sleep, shift work, sitting at a desk or in front of screens all day, every day...
Remove healthy, metabolic muscle mass (decline naturally as we age) and increase the load on our liver...
Remove nutrient dense foods and enough quality calories coming in to the system...
Throw in a ton of confusing, TOXIC, diet culture rules and food bullsh!t to confuse and paralyze us.
No wonder our metabolism is sluggish and we are frustrated!

Muscle is metabolic money. You have to move your body to get your metabolism burning hot. This includes steps: walking is a superpower.

Food quality matters, but we've got to assess if you're under-eating or over-eating. You have a rocket fuel mix. We need to figure it out.

A great coach knows how to hold space for your human-ness while holding you accountable to your goals and getting you off your crutches.
MEET KIM & JO
Between the two of us, we have almost 20 years experience in coaching nutrition and fitness.
Our coaching approach is a combination of soul sister - no drama - tough love.
Here's who we help (and who we can't):
- people who have high self-awareness and know that with the right tools, they can feel better relatively easily
- are brutally honest with themselves about their habits and behaviours, know their triggers and admit their screw ups
- are willing to explore being curious and yet, non-judgemental with themselves during the process
- are willing to examine and let go of old-school or conventional diet 'wisdom' around food and exercise
- (Can you jump off the 'earn it and burn it' bandwagon?)
We are the coaches for people who are fed up with fussy, labor intensive, boring, strict, useless diet plans and programs and want to focus INWARD, on themselves, rather than temporary external solutions that never work.
You might not love our approach if:
- you are plant-based
- you want very fast results or are terrified of slow ones.
